Find the Port Forwarding section in your ZyXEL C3000Z router. Click on the Advanced Setup button at the center of the screen. Find the Port Forwarding link located near the left of the screen and click on it. Create a Port Forwarding entry. If this sounds difficult, you are not alone.
Select "Application" from the applications category list. Select "Remote Desktop Connection" from the applications list. Hit "Apply". As long as you have a DDNS service (to make sure you are hitting your current home IP if it's not fixed) you will be able to remote in.

I have done/tried: Port forwarding in the router. Ensuring UPnP is on. Putting my desktops LAN IP in the DMZ. Lowering the Firewall protection level in the router. Opening the ports in Windows Firewall. Checking they're open in command prompt. But in spite of this, when I go online to check (see last image), it comes back as blocked .
