I've so far played up until about 1500 as both Ottomans and Castile. That Ottoman game was before the 1.35 update, to clarify. I first tried Castile 1.35, because I hadn't learned that they were no longer considered a good start for new players. I followed a guide and had some success, but there was no way I would've worked out any of that strategy on my own. I'm trying a game now as Muscovy To end a rivalry on your side, you can repick after 10? years. I believe it costs 100 diplomatic monarch points to do so. To do so, you have to go into the diplomacy tab, select view your own country in bottom right, then in the top left where it shows your rivals select the one you want to change. If rebels occupy it, separatism is extended by 10 years. Separatism contributes to unrest within the province, leading to rebellion. Humanist idea group has an idea that reduces separatism years. You are unable to change province culture until Europa Universalis IV. end excommunication? How does a player end excommunication of himself and/or his country (in EU4) ? The main possibilities I can see are a change of ruler and a change of pope (this is apparently how it works in CK2), possibly wait for 20 to 30 years, and possibly a change of the Papal State's and/or the Pope's opinion of the monthly pulse of the “Internal Power Struggle” disaster (Base weight: 50/2220) They still need to be done. Invest the money for it. Lose ducats equal to 20–100% of a year of income. If intensity is at least 100, instead lose ducats equal to 150% of a year of income. The bookkeeping can wait. lbN6ejo.
